Twenty suburbs we know well.

Albany Creek out to Petrie in the north, Samford Valley in the west, Carseldine in the east. About thirty kilometres, which is as far as we can go and still get back for a warranty callback the same week.

Drawn, not borrowed

Real positions, one scale on both axes, no map tiles and no third party script. The dashed line is the edge of where we normally go, not a legal boundary.

Just outside it

Ring anyway. We take work at Dayboro, Kallangur and Mitchelton when the diary allows, and we will tell you straight rather than book you and cancel.

The outside corner of a rendered house where the wall meets the concrete slab edge, with garden mulch pressed against it

Why this pocket

Creek flats on one side, bushland on the other.

Albany Creek sits on that edge, and it is the reason the ant and termite pressure here is what it is. Coastal browns push up through the slab in the dry, and the wet brings everything else in off the reserve.

Suburb by suburb

What we find where.

Twenty pockets, and they do not behave the same. This is the shorthand we use in the ute.

  • Albany Creek

Home base. Creek flats on one side, Bunyaville on the other, which is the reason for the ant and termite pressure here.

  • Bridgeman Downs

Large blocks and long perimeters. Barrier jobs here are priced by the metre for a reason.

  • Eatons Hill

Newer slabs, buried slab edges under landscaping. The most common finding is a garden bed built over the edge.

  • Cashmere

Bush boundary the whole way along. Six month termite intervals rather than twelve on the back fence blocks.

  • Warner

Estates on cut and fill. Retaining walls and stumps are where the nest usually is.

  • Bunya

Acreage against the reserve. Rodent proofing at the eaves matters more here than the bait does.

  • Ferny Hills

Older brick and timber, plenty of subfloors we can actually get into.

  • Arana Hills

Post war homes with high set timber. Borer and decay show up as often as termites.

  • Everton Hills

Slab on ground with mature gardens pressing against the wall. Mulch line is the usual problem.

  • Everton Park

Townhouses and duplexes. Most work here is booked through a body corporate.

  • McDowall

Backs onto Raven Street reserve. Coastal brown ants push through the slab every dry spell.

  • Aspley

Long established gardens and a lot of rendered weep holes that were never left open.

  • Carseldine

Mixed old and new. Pre purchase inspections are most of what we do out here.

  • Bald Hills

Low lying and wet after a storm run. Moisture readings matter more than anything else.

  • Strathpine

Shops and food premises alongside the housing, so a lot of the commercial programs sit here.

  • Bray Park

Older slabs with expansion joints that have opened. Cold joints get treated on every barrier.

  • Brendale

Industrial and light commercial. Bin bays, grease traps and roller door gaps.

  • Lawnton

Pine River flats. Rodents move inland off the river every cold snap.

  • Petrie

Our northern edge. Still inside the thirty kilometres, still a standard call out.

  • Samford Valley

Acreage, sheds, stumps and fence lines. Inspections take longer and we price them that way.

Booking

Same rates everywhere.

There is no travel surcharge inside the thirty kilometres, including Samford Valley and Petrie. Acreage costs more because it takes longer, not because it is further away.
